Women’s Bike Camp Registration

Women’s Bike Camp – Registration Closed

July 15-16, 2017

Hey ladies! (Yep, it’s ladies only!!) Women and girls 13 years+ are invited to join us on our bike-camping adventure to Whispering Winds campground. Girls ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a guardian who is at least 18 years old.

The adventure begins with a 10 mile group ride from the Sedgwick County Zoo area to the campground near Valley Center. All skill levels are welcome. Extend your ride by starting from home. Those unable or wishing not to ride are still welcome to join us at camp for a day of fun workshops, yoga, pool time and more!

Everyone is encouraged to bring their own camping gear, however you can choose to tent camp, bunk in the lodge, or just come for the day. Bring food and anything else you need to be self-sustained for 24 hours. There is water, bathrooms, and showers at camp.

Saturday Lunch is being catered by Lotus Leaf Cafe for $10 per person. There will be sandwiches, salads, and sweet potato chips. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and soy-free options will be available. Please select your top 2 or 3 choices from the questionnaire that follows the registration.

Those selecting the lodge, please note that it is hostel style. There are 14 beds and 14 extra mattresses to accommodate 28 indoor sleepers. Since the beds/mattresses are limited, register early to secure one.

Look for a followup email with more information as the trip draws near. We’ll also be posting more details throughout the month. If you have any questions, please email Jess Bechtelheimer at jess@bikewalkwichita.org. If your question is beneficial to other potential attendees, feel free to post your question on the Facebook event page. (You can also let your friends know you are coming to camp by selecting “going” and hey, invite them too!!)
