Walking in Wichita is better than ever! We all know that walking is an easy path to healthy lifestyles, neighborliness, and social connections. Walking is a quick way to de-stress, savor fresh air, and even have walking meetings.

Bike Walk Wichita™ helps to foster moderate to vigorous walkability in Wichita. The Wichita Pedestrian Master Plan will enable high-quality and safe walkability to connect neighborhoods, destinations, and modes of transportation. While we continue to improve, we do have quality resources available right now!

Bike Walk Wichita would like to keep our Bike Walk Wichita: Routes and Tours cell phone App updated and maintained. Unfortunately at this time, the person who filled that volunteer role is no longer available. The free app provides self-guided walking tours exploring Wichita neighborhoods, art, and history.

Whether you’re visiting Wichita or exploring familiar landmarks, stride safely alone or with a work partner, family member, neighbor or pet. There are many ways to walk along residential streets as well as on multi-use paths.

What's New

RULE 91 | SAVE THOSE BUILDINGS
Historical districts offer more than just walkability. They create more jobs per square foot of development, more small businesses, and more creative jobs. They invite fewer chain businesses, more new businesses, and dramatically more women-owned and minority-owned businesses.
