Working with data from the Wichita Police department provided by the City of Wichita through its Open Data Portal , we have created a map showing traffic incidents involving pedestrians and/or bicyclists. Note that while this data is frequently updated it represents only those incidents that were reported to the police, and all involve a motor vehicle as well as bike/ped. Even though it doesn’t show all incidents, patterns can be seen where we need to pay attention to the interaction between motor vehicles and bicyclists and pedestrians

We know that 90% of crashes go unreported. If you are involved in or see a bike/ped crash that is not on the map, let us know!
