Douglas is ICT’s iconic avenue that continues to be an economic driver and important gathering space for our residents and guests, whether they are shopping, dining, moving through, or socializing. Redesign opportunities can be quite costly & inconvenient, so this is a rare opportunity to create an avenue that will better serve our residents, local businesses, visitors, and future generations. (Funding is approved for 2022.)
City leaders and staff heard your concerns and announced at the District Advisory Board I meeting (11/5/18) that due to a lack of shared vision and recent factors, such as Bird Scooters coming to downtown this month, it is best to utilize a city consultant who can take a fresh look at this project and provide more opportunities for public engagement!
