The Redbud Trail is the former Burlington Northern/Santa Fe rail corridor that stretches from the I-135 Canal Route in Wichita, past Augusta, KS. Bike/Walk Alliance-Wichita and many other very important people and organizations helped The City of Wichita apply for a Transportation Enhancement Grant (TE) in February, 2010. Show your support for the Redbud Bike Path Project by sending a letter of support to the Kansas Department of Transportation. You may review a sample letter by clicking here. This project is one of many in Kansas that are currently being reviewed by KDOT, and the decision will be made in June, 2010. Foward your letter to KDOT right away, and email a copy to BWA-W at this address.
