You can help make Wichita even better for bicycling. Volunteer today to serve on the Wichita Bicycle Wayfinding System Plan Steering Committee. The Steering Committee will help guide the planning process and development of the plan – a guide for how the City should use signage and markings to make it easier for people bicycling to navigate the City.
It is anticipated that he Steering Committee will have at least two two-hour long meetings during the 12-month long planning process, and that the meetings will be held in the late afternoon and/or evenings. Applicants should be aware that additional work outside of committee meetings may be requested.
The Steering Committee will be appointed by the Wichita Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board (WBPAB), and will serve as a subcommittee of that board. The committee will consist of approximately 11 members, with six from the WBPAB and approximately 5 at-large members. Individuals interested in applying should complete the online application (link below). Please contact Scott Wadle, Senior Planner at (316)352-4855 or swadle@wichita.gov with any questions.
