Wichita By Bike (Intro to Biking in ICT)
With all the new bike projects, you may not know about some of the best places to ride in Wichita. You’ve done the neighborhood, done the park, now where to ride? Learn how to take advantage of all the great bicycling resources in our city, as well as the basics of safe riding with certified instructors. After classroom instruction we’ll practice skills in our parking lot then go ride some of the best bike facilities in Wichita. I’ve been in Wichita for about a year. Thanks to Bike/Walk I have recently acquired a bike. I am probably an intermediate rider but know little about the bike infrastructure. I wanna know more. I’d also like to see more trailhead parking lots like Chisholm Creek Park and nature center parking. I’m in the East Side of town near Rock and Harry. Help me to find more nearby trails please.
Hi Ken, sorry just seeing this comment in our spam folder. Sigh. Hope you have been finding new areas to ride, we really enjoy the K96 and Chisholm Creek area and the Redbud Trail. We are hosting a bike documentary event on Aug 25th called Wheels To Reels at Wave. Hopefully you can join us and meet lots of people who ride in your area!
