Wichita’s own Scott Wadle’s project was chosen as a finalist for the Knight Cities Challenge

Scott Wadles and the City of Wichita’s project  was one of 126 chosen across the country. The project, called Bicycle Wayfinding Brings Wichita Neighborhoods Together, is about designing and implementing improvements for bicycle wayfinding to connect diverse communities.

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation sponsors the Knight Cities Challenge, a national call for new ideas to make the 26
communities where Knight invests more vibrant places to live and work. More than 7000 projects were submitted in this first year of the competition.

This project is just one of many that will be coming to our community in the coming years. I’m excited about the changes taking place right here in Wichita to improve pedestrian and bicycle access.
