Park Tool Grant Received = Increased Outreach!
We are thrilled to accept a grant from Park Tool (professional-grade stands, a set of tools, mechanics manual, etc) that will allow us to provide resources for our volunteers to continue making Wichita a better/safer place to live, work and play for everyone!
As a community-led organization, none of the great work being done would be possible without the support of our generous residents, businesses (especially local bike shops & coffee lovers) and organizations! During 2016, volunteers worked on 500+ bikes for people at United Methodist Open Door, repaired & distributed 100+ donated bikes to people in need of transportation through the Wichita Police Department’s Homeless Outreach Team and other organizations & have built a wonderful bike outreach program at the Wichita Children’s Home! All through generous donations of time, energy & resources – as we have NO paid staff!
